So the invitations are out (mostly), and we’ve now sorted out the gift list – details can be found on the gift list page. Not long to go now!
The forecast is looking more and more like there will be some snow around the time of the wedding. Please be prepared for that eventuality. Dress warm and plan well!
Once again, this morning’s system run for the start of January, shows no significant shift from previous expectations, with a generally cold theme, coupled with some snow showers. The run up to the wedding shows an essentially dry December, bar the last week or so, which may well see some unsettled weather sweep parts of the country, possibly giving a White Christmas for some. January starts relatively dry but cold, and for the month in general, it will be colder than average, with some snow showers, possibly combining at times to give some heavier falls of snow which will cause disruption, on a par with the winter of 2009/10. February will continue the pattern but to a lesser extent. For the wedding date, it most certainly will be cold, with the threat of some snow, although confidence points to the week after as holding a more likely scenario for the snow, rather than just after the first week, so you may well have a cold but dry wedding day, as suggested in previous forecasts PWS have issued to you. The next forecast will be issued late November, and from there the forecast goes weekly. At the start of January 2011 the forecast goes daily, and on the eve of the big day itself, you will receive an hour by hour breakdown of the weather for your wedding.
